Echo (book and/or score and/or sound and/or music)

One could argue that the notion of Echo is very close to a non-visual-metaphorical description of sound.

Echo describes a phenomenon of sound in itself.

By describing different rooms, textures and surfaces that would return a given sound in a certain way and thereby create an echo, the listener "places" an imaginary sound inside the matrix of the "echo", thus evoking a sound within the inner ear.
