This is the documentation of the creation process of Kites, a solo dance performance with the disciplines of music, set, costume, and video as co-performers. The piece is about children growing up in non-spaces.

Unsettling the position of sleeping with the nightmare of not feeling the place of rest or a rest itself.

Inspiration (image) : Man from the refugees camp being forced to undressed. Being forced to be vulnable and slave at nowhere.

Option A: This is an image of Laisvie dancing in a pice by ConCuerpos with lights on her legs. Just to give an idea of what is possible with light on the body directly.

DREAM STATE (not knowing where...)

It is 'Dark night'

Start with being traveling, being only with underwear and only the flashlight and wandering.

JL: Light house light.

Laisvie: I see 2 options: 1. what about using small lights on the body? and 2. Use a small paper or cardboard object to cast a projection. Maybe the light is on a toy car that moves around...

In between spaces are universal.

Option B: this is a lamp that creates a forest, but we can do one that creates more abstract shapes. My idea is that the light moves inside the small object, so the shadows would also move. It could be a toy car with batteries or a pendulum...
