on the inner climate of the body
This study investigates the relationship between the inner experiences of the human body and the state of balance of earth’s climate. The current state of the earth is worsening and the current way of living is not sustainable, climate change wise but also health and mental health wise. Changes need to be made to the way humans live their lives, for (men- tal) health, environment and survival of all beings.
There are three stages in which this research takes place: meeting, befriending and becoming. The meeting chapter looks at the human body experiences of breathing, emotions and (graceful) movement and what these mean in relation-
ship with environmental awareness. During befriending we dive into the human body’s microbiome, neurodiversity, mental illness, burn out, education and war and how these influence the climate crisis. The last chapter called becoming, looks into the philosophy of time and space in relationship with environmentalism and viewing the earth as one’s own body.
The three stages are designed to help us understand the rela- tionship to the disturbance of the climate and our role in it. The research looks into methods to become aware of one’s body. For instance, Just being—breathing—gives the body and its microbiome time to heal. Another method being zooming out and metaphorically seeing the human bodies as the microbiome of earth. .

ON BURNOUT: The Development of an Artistic Research Project
A reflection on the ability of artistic research to resonate with an audience and connect with the contemporary conditions of life within the arts.
➢ Sharing the development and process of a multi-year long artistic research project on burnout.

This exposition presents an artistic research project that took the very conditions of our own field of practice as its subject. Starting as an experimental research lab titled Band of Burnouts that took interest in states and stories of exhaustion within the arts and creative industries, the project continued to develop through a morphing succession of forms and outlets and remains active today.
Walking the viewer through this a broad range of experiments and collaborations, it now reflects upon the specific strategies that created an unexpected level of resonance, and highlights how an approach of recursivity enriches artistic research practices. Through its interventions, manifestations, and strategies, this artistic research endeavour grew a community and garnered an audience that continues to evolve almost four years later.
We discuss the techniques that opened up transformative spaces for sharing experiences and vulnerabilities, de-stigmatising mental health topics and challenges, (co)creating from embodied and tacit knowledge, and making encounters with the not-fun into a source of connection and counter-culture.

English abstract:
How do I create healthy working methods that benefit my own and my team members mental and emotional wellbeing while making film about difficult subjects? What does a documentary sprung out of these methods look like? How has the collaboration with Cilla Holm, film therapist and former film producer, contributed to make the process emotionally sustainable? The film industry is fast paced and burnout is not uncommon. Four years ago it happened to me and I had a total identity crisis. After grieving my old self, my ability to multi-task and my newfound stress intolerance, I came to the conclusion that I will not accept that I have to leave the film industry. I wanted to keep working, I just had to find another way to do it.
An exposition about the creation of my documentary About Grief (2022) and the method that I call The emotionally sustainable film process.
