I have recently completed a PhD in Art Practice at the University for the Creative Arts, in collaboration with the University of Brighton, England. I have been living in Europe since 1996. From 1998 to 2005, I was based in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I developed an interest in mosaic art. Ever since, I have expanded my practice to sculpture and installation art. My current research focuses on how aspects of the art of the ancient world have unfolded into the contemporary. I hold a combined Bachelor's and a Licentiate's Degree in History from the Federal University of Paraná (1996) and a MA in Fine Arts, sculpture, from the University for the Creative Arts (2011).
