Lucia Rainer is an artist researcher, dramatic advisor, performer and performance studies theorist based in Hamburg, Germany. She received her Masters degree in Performance Studies at the University of Hamburg. Her doctoral research was accompanied by a.pass (advanced performance and sceneography studies) and awarded with "magna cum laude" from the University of Hamburg. From October 2016 until December 2020 Lucia worked as a professor of aesthetics and performance at MSH University of Applied Sciences and Medical University Hamburg. Since 2021 Lucia cooperates with the dance association "Dachverband Tanz Deutschland" and does research on analog-virtual and transdisciplinary methodologies of collaboration. Her current artistic research project "The Performance-Writing-Machine" triggers the coincidence and randomness of text generation and expresses an expanded interest in computational linguistics and probability.
