Alessandra Montagner holds a Doctorate in Performing Arts from the PPGADC/IA from the State University of Campinas, with a research internship (Associate Student) at the Department of Drama, Theatre and Performance at the University of Roehampton (UK) - both funded by FAPESP. She holds an MA (Dance Theatre: The Body in Performance) from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance/City University of London (2012) - title recognised and validated by the PPGAC at ECA/USP - and a BA in Performing Arts - Directing (2006) and Acting (2004) - from the Federal University of Santa Maria. She has experience in Arts, focusing on Performing Arts. Her research interests are: spectatorship, performative writing, performance as existence/resistance/survival in Latin America, theatrical and performative aesthetics and directing.
