I am a Senior Research Fellow at Griffith University in the School of Human Services and Social Work. My main areas of research are disability policy (and their implications in practice) and disability studies. You can find more about me at:  https://www.griffith.edu.au/health/school-human-services-social-work/staff/dr-donna-mcdonald   I am currently exploring how the visual arts have historically reflected and represented cultural attitudes toward disability and the experiences of people with disability. My interest goes beyond issues of aesthetics, as I want to capture historical and contemporaneous socio-cultual issues pertaining to visual arts representations of observed or imagined or lived experiences of disability and disablement.
