Dr. Robin Rolfhamre has a Master's Degree of classical guitar with a Master Thesis on French Baroque Lute Music from 1650-1700 at the University of Agder. In 2014 he received his PhD within the same subject focusing on late seventeenth century popular music for the solo lute. Based in critical musicology, Dr. Rolfhamre’s interests include interdisciplinary studies, artistic research, early modern studies, popular music studies, technology, music performance and human psychology. He is involved in several projects and organizations such as Cimento, Slog, KiK, IASPM Norden and Multikul. Dr. Rolfhamre is also active as a musician, conductor and composer and performs regularly around Europe.
