After finishing his Bachelor’s degree in classical trumpet in Spain, Carlos Rivero turned his focus to Early Music, completing a second Bachelor’s degree in cornetto at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen in Germany, where he discovered the Alexander Technique. He then moved to Basel, Switzerland, for his Master’s degree at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, and completed his studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague in 2025. As a cornetto player, Carlos has performed across Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, collaborating in a wide range of concerts and Early Music projects, including Sweelinck Barokorkest, Lutherse Bach Ensemble, Vox Luminis, and the Bayreuth Youth Festival, among others.
