I'm a writer, poet, ethnographer of futures, and Associate Professor at the IT University of Copenhagen. The future of high-tech and low-tech industry is where I have worked all my life. But what matters to me are the landscapes, places and people, where futures are being imagined and made; how might the future be made differently, in different landscapes? How might we re-imagine the future elsewhere?

The work I produce explores answers to these questions, through landscape installations, poetry, performance, and publications that span fanzines, art books, and peer-reviewed papers.

I've most recently collaborated with artists, Alec Finlay and Alistair Peebles, on a poetry collection inspired by my work in islands of Orkney, Scotland. Ebban an' Flowan is the world's first poetic primer on marine renewable energy.
