Anders Hagberg is a flautist, saxophonist and Professor of Musical Performance/Improvisation. Improvisation and boundary crossing collaborations are the hallmarks of Hagberg, and his projects often includes artists from various genres and cultures as well as other art forms. He is performing worldwide as a soloist and has released a number of recordings to his name. He has composed music for films, art projects and dance performances. His artistic research is about improvisation and spatiality, where he explores melodic modality, musical presence and the importance of acoustics in musical perfomance.
