Brahma Prakash is  Assistant Professor of Theatre and Performance at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is the author of Cultural Labour: Conceptualizing the 'Folk Performance' in India (New Delhi: Oxford University Press, 2019). He completed his PhD in theatre and performance studies from Royal Holloway, University of London.  He received Dwight Conquergood Award of the Performance Studies International in 2013 and selected as a fellow at the CRASSH at Cambridge University for 2019-20.
