Liene Rubane is a graphic designer / visual artist coming from the small village called Rožupe, Latvia. 

She creates wide range of experiments in visual image. Liene Rubane is working in diverse mediums, more often merging them together. Her works focus on small and unexpected details which are based on contradictions and coinsidences. She tells the viewer to experience an artwork in thinking.

In 2012 she have got the Transmedia advanced Master degree in the arts, design and media at the Sint-Lukas Brussels University College of Art and Design. Before she studied Visual Communication at the Art Academy of Latvia (2006-2010) in Riga. In 2008 she was excepted in Erasmus student mobility at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover with specialization in the Graphic Design and Filmmaking. 

Meanwhile her studies, Liene worked as graphic designer in Riga, Amsterdam and Brussels. In 2010 she was excepted for five months internship and, later, for a job at Mediamatic in Amsterdam. 

Currently she is based in Brussels.
