Marit Darlang was born in Amsterdam on the 25th of september 1990. 

She started taking recorderlessons when she was 9 years old with Paul van der Voort. In 2008 she started her studies at the Utrecht Conservatory with Heiko ter Schegget. She finished her bachelor of music in 2012. From 2009 untill 2012 she received baroque bassoon and dulcian lessons by Wouter Verschuren as a second subject. She is now continuing her studies with the master of music at the royal conservatory of the hague studying baroque bassoon with Donna Agrell and dulcian with Wouter Verschuren. 

She is a recorderteacher at the musicschool in Cothen (muziekonderwijscothen.nl) and is active in different ensembles. With her ensemble Voce Humana she is focussing on renaissance music from Iberia and with her ensemble Concerto Comique on baroque chamber music.
