Kayo Nishida is born in Hiroshima (Japan).
She studied the chalumeaux and the historical clarinet with Ernst Schlader at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen in Germany. She performed with many orchestras in whole Europe, such as the Orchestra of the 18th Century, Bayerische Theaterakademie, the Merseburger Hofmusik, Kammermusik Potsdam, and others. She plays chamber music with different ensembles. With the "Trio Cammerton" she performed at festivals such as the Festival Oude Muziek in Utrecht and the International Young Artist's Presentation. Currently she is studying the historical clarinet with Erich Hoeprich at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
