Lila Matsumoto is a poet and a lecturer at the University of Nottingham. Publications include Allegories from my Kitchen (Sad Press, 2015) and Soft Troika (If a Leaf Falls Press), and poems in anthologies and journals such as Jacket2, Archive of the Now, Rivet, The Other Room Anthology, DATABLEED, Dusie, Anything Anymore Anywhere, and Zarf. Lila is especially interested in poetry which works experimentally across mediums and modes, and collaborative processes which may lead to new attention to forms and presentation of writing. Recent collaborative works with visual artists include the video ‘strawflower’ with Adam Butcher, and the performance piece ‘rocks’ with Rocio von Jugenfeld which was staged at the Edinburgh Art Festival. Lila current research explores how poetics may be expanded through a series of engagements with artists working with sculpture, digital media, and sound.
