Visual artist. Professor and programme director for MA Fine Art at the Iceland University of the Arts. 

 

Hildur´s work has it´s source in textiles but her subjects lead her into various mediums. Her artistic research in the Fellowship program evolves around plants and their possibility to transmit information through plat dye and their connection to a place or a person. Hildur Bjarnadóttir graduated from the Textile department of the Arts and Crafts College of Iceland 1992 and has an MFA degree from the New Forms Department of Pratt Institute, New York 1997.
