Cara Judea Alhadeff (1971, USA) is a writer, visual artist, lecturer, and Iyengar yoga teacher whose work engages embodied theory. She attended Sarah Lawrence College with a minor in photography under Joel Sternfeld, and graduated from Penn State University with honors, summa cum laude, with a minor in photography and a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in her self-designed interdisciplinary major, Corporeal Politics, under the mentorship of Henry Giroux, Susan Squier, and Ivan Illich. She received her MA (2009), and Doctor of Philosophy (2012) in Media & Communication and Cultural Studies from European Graduate School (EGS), Europäische Universität für interdisziplinäre Studien, Saas-Fee Switzerland, summa cum laude.
