Zsuzsanna Larsson Gilice, (b. 1970, Vingåker, Sweden) is an artist based in Gothenburg. She received her MFA from Valand Academy of Fine Arts, University of Gothenburg, 2003. Larsson Gilice works with drawing and text, where the textual is drawn rather than written, thus questioning both language and drawing. She often works spatially and with large formats, where drawing balances between being and ceasing. It’s as if wearing down the materials, and the capacity to find the internal relations where they burden and carry each other the most, the breaking point, generated a type of sensuous intimacy that imbues the works with life. Her works have been shown in various institutions and galleries mainly in Sweden. Various public art projects such as for the Public Art Agency Sweden and in Stockholm (Stockholm konst/Art). Represented in museum collections, regions, municipalities and private collections. Selected grants: The Swedish Arts Grants Committee, the Västra Götaland Region, Gothenburg City and the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts.
