Assistant professor in music, musician and the director of the Music section at Uniarts/DOCH. Printz play drums, percussion and multiple other instruments, both for modern/contemporary dance, jazz dance and improvisation classes and teach practical and theoretical rythm training, music didactics, sound editing/recording and video production. Recently, he developed live looping and electro-acoustic experiments to complement acoustic instruments during training classes and stage performances. Printz studied at the musician program at the Royal College of Music.
His major motivation is his passion for the interaction between music and other performing arts areas such as dance, circus, performance, theater and more.
Printz have been a freelance musician touring the world with groups like Mynta, Kalabra and Makonde. In 1998, when Stockholm was the European Capital of Culture, he was a composer and musician in the project “Ceramic Drums” which played to sold-out houses at Stockholm House of Culture. I’ve also appeared in productions at Stockholm's City Theatre, Göta Lejon and Gävle Folk Theatre. As a composer, I’ve worked with both theater (Gävle Folk Theatre), Dance (Örjan Andersson/University College of Dance) and performance (Ceramic Drums).
