Adrienne Marcus Raja is both an emerging interdisciplinary artist and documentarian. She is currently based in Mississauga, Canada but travels back home to Sarawak, Malaysia. She received her MFA in Documentary Media from Ryerson University and her BA in Mass Communication from Curtin University of Technology.

Recently, she is interested in exploring and reconstructing the complexity of identity removal and is drawn to ideas revolving around archival memory, oral traditions, East Asian culture and the meaning of identity loss.

She explores the uncomfortable subconscious residing in memories and the tales of diverse history that was not chronicled. Her work and research experiences have inspired her to experiment with creating distorted and reconstructed images that provokes the sensitive perception and the complex psychology within the social relationships.
