I am an artist and researcher working across installation, moving image, sculpture, and drawing. My practice explores the tangled histories of landscapes shaped by extraction, conflict, and shifting borders. I see the land as a living archive, bearing the scars of empire, war, and political ambition. I’m especially drawn to the quiet, lasting traces left by military and geopolitical forces, not just on maps or in headlines, but in the air, water, and the everyday. These questions often unfold in collaboration with Arnold Estefán, with whom I work as the artist duo Benera & Estefan (beneraestefan.ro).
