Elena Pérez is a researcher, theatre practitioner and experimental game designer. She is doing her PhD (2009-2013) in the department of Art and Media Studies at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, where she is looking at how digital media is challenging classical notions of participation, space and community in contemporary theatre and performance. She created Chain Reaction (2009 and 2011) while on a visiting stay at the department of Theatre, Dance and Performance studies at UC Berkeley, where she did several research experiments for academic inquiry in pervasive theatre and telematic performance. She is currently based in Madrid.
