Elke Mark is an artist and researcher in the field of performance art and processual textile art. Her research focuses on sensory knowledge, memory, well-being, listening and co-creative dialogue. In embodied practices, she enacts situated knowing and uses micro-phenomenology and embodied critical thinking to explore and verbalise impact and dynamics of artistic experience, intuitive knowing of background movements, touch and being touched. Elke gained her doctorate at the University of Flensburg, Germany with the development of a tactile-performative research practice.
