Sher Doruff has been working in the visual and performance-based collaborative arts in a variety of capacities since the 1970’s. She has a BA in Fine Art and was a practicing musician/ composer and scenographer in Chicago and New York. In the late 80’s-00’s her practice incorporated digital technologies in Live Art performance contexts. She received her PhD in 2006 from Central Saint Martins/UAL. She is Emeritus Professor of Film and Media at Stockholm University of the Arts. She was head of the THIRD program at DAS Graduate School, Amsterdam from2016-2021 and tutored in the Making Things Public research group at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, DAS Master of Choreography and supervises artistic research projects in Europe and has published numerous papers in academic and artistic contexts. She is currently re-engaging with music composiition.
