Performing the incomplete project, together with behaviours associated with the unfinished work has arisen from a realisation that the (art) object has increasingly become an obstacle for me. Enacting the fragment and the nomadic studio as a means of creating audience encounters through a socio-curatorial practice has become more and more important. These encounters result in an artwork experienced as incomplete or a potentiality - in this way the practice is transactional and always coming into being.

The studio without walls or ruin in reverse is one by-product of this process. These encounters with 'the work' in an unresolved state relate uneasily to the contemporary pre-occupation with art-works as products, readily consumed objects, whose material and sensual qualities are reduced to surface effect and signal the creative potential of the fragment to restore an embodied relationship to the world.
