Eva Marín is a catalan visual artist. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona, and an Erasmus exchange at the University of West of England in Bristol. She studied an MA in Production & Artistic Research at the UB and at the moment she is doing her Phd about ”The controversial in between the institutionalized landscape and the invisible landscape”. She has recently coordinated the "Ist International Symposium Invisible Topographies: critical strategies between Art and Geography" at the University of Barcelona. She has worked as digital consultant and taugh Web marketing strategies at the IED, Instituto Europeo di Design in Barcelona.
Her artistic practice examines the stereotypes of landscape imagery and its contribution to the construction of national identities in Europe. Her visual and critical approach aims to expose the mechanisms of certain institutional perspectives to landscape and the invisible territories that are set aside behind them.
She has presented her work at the International Conference "Lessons in Geography" at the MAC Birmingham and at the “Art and Geography Conference” in Lyon. She participated in the ArtNou Show 2012 at Senda Gallery in Barcelona, and has been resident artist of Can Xalant.
