Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1981, Amanda Andersen studied International Relations at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and International Trade at l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris before working as an Emerging Market corporate analyst in Paris and London. Since 2009 she dedicates herself to her creative process, using multidisciplinary approaches and a wide variety of media in her artistic practice. According to art historian and curator Olivia Ardui ‘this discontinuous trajectory seems to have influenced the stress she puts on process and evolution as the artistic foundation structuring her research.’ Amanda completed an Advanced Master’s degree in Transmedia (an interdisciplinary degree in Art, Media and Design based in Brussels) at LUCA, School of Arts / KU Leuven in June 2013. She is currently pursuing her research on 'Ephemeral Circles on Solstices and Equinoxes'.
