Dr. Maja Zećo is an interdisciplinary artist-researcher originally from Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and currently based in Scotland. As she works in diverse geographical and institutional contexts, her works are often site-specific and relational, negotiating personal and group narratives of identity and history. Her work has been commissioned by CRiSAP (Creative Research into Sound Art Practice at UAL, London) and art galleries such as Horsecross Arts in Perth. In 2019 Maja obtained a Fine Art PhD on sound and performance art practice from Gray’s School of Art (RGU) with the support of the Sonic Arts Program at the University of Aberdeen.
