Javier Lupiañez Ruiz

Javier was born in Melilla (Spain), where he receives several prizes in interpretation and composition.  After finalizing his advanced studies of violin at the Superior Conservatory of Salamanca with Patricio Gutiérrez he got his postgraduation in musicology at the University of Salamanca and baroque violin at the Ancient Music School of the University of Salamanca. Javier also graduated as a musical education teacher by the University of Granada. In 2009 he starts to study baroque violin with Enrico Gatti at The Royal Conservatory of the Hague. Now he is doing his Master Degree.

 

He appeared several times as a solo performer or leader with  the Baroque Orchestra of the Superior Conservatory of Salamanca, Baroque Orchestra of Salamanca, the European Baroque Academy of Ambronay, Academia Montis Regalis... Also he plays with other ensembles like New Dutch Academy, Arcade Ensemble, Concerto Barroco, The Eroica Project (playing Beethoven with historical instruments), Orquesta Barroca Conde Duque.

 

He is founder member of the ensemble Les Esprits Animaux, his programming and concert concepts for Les Esprits has earned recognition from critics and the public.

 

Javier develops also an intense work in chamber music playing with several ensembles all around the world. He plays regularly in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Japan and The Netherlands and had recorded for the label Harmonia Mundi.
