My whole childhood was about music.
When I was 12 years old I studied in the Classical Music School in Debrecen for 3 years, then I continued my studies in another music school, where I got to know other genres as well. That’s where I met jazz.
My teacher shortly advised me to continue my studies in Budapest, because I could learn jazz and develop further only there. This time I was playing in two bands. One of them was a funk oriented band, the other one was a jazz trio founded by myself. We had many concerts in local clubs.
In 2003 I moved to Budapest, because I got admitted to the Ferenc Erkel Jazz Conservatory. I spent three years here as a student of Gabor Juhasz guitar teacher. I graduated from this school in 2006.
During this time besides the school band I started my own trio. We played jazz standards in peculiar conceptions, but we also played my own compositions.
In 2008 I got admitted to the KJF, to the jazz guitar faculty of BA. Here my teachers were two amazing and well-recognized guitar players in Hungary, Csaba Czirják and Miklos Birta.
During the school I turned into the direction of mainstream jazz. This is what I have been interested in the most, even now.
I really like swing and I love to play it in a modern conception. In my compositions I also try to use this genre.
In 2009 I met contemporary dancer Julaianna Hadi and we created project together that was built on the improvisational interaction of alive instrument contemporary dance. After many live performances we recorded a DVD and titled “Hadisound”.
In 2011 I composed music for a short film called “ Imagi Nation” directed by Alexandra Lemm.
At the moment I’m working on the music of a short film.
I have been teaching for a long time, and I would like to open my own guitar school after I finish my Master studies.
I am sure I could do my best during this upcoming 2 years, because I am very persistent, conscientious and hardworking. I am really enthusiastic and I have a great hunger for new approaches and experiences. The only thing I missed a lot is being surrounded by other musicians and I think this school is big help for me.
