Alfonso Salar Ruiz was born in Murcia (Spain) in 1990. He started his percussion studies in his home town when he was 9 years old. Alfonso studied at Conservatorio Profesional de Musica in Murcia and Almoradí (Alicante) and continued with his Bachelor degree at Conservatorio Superior de Musica in Zaragoza, concentrating in orchestral playing and contemporary music.
He has played in youth professional orchestras like JONDE( Spain Youth National Orchestra), NJO ( Dutch and Ensemble Academy), SOAP (Symphony Academy Orchestra Of The Pacific) and Netherland Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition Alfonso has attended Masterclasses with internacional solists and orchestra percussionist like Katarzyna Myka,Wiland Wetzel, Markus leoson, Gustavo Gimeno , Andrew Barclay , Oliver Madas, Anton Mittermayer, Colin Corrie,
Now he continues his percussion Master studies in the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague, with Hans Zonderop, Peppie Wierma, Fedor Teunisse and Theun van Nieuwburg as professors. Also playing with the Residentie Orkest as orchestral Master student.
