I wrote an interview book in 1987/88, called ROLE OF THE ARTIST IN SOCIETY, 24 INTERVIEWS FROM SOUTH AFRICA. The resarch looks into social and histoiircal roles of artists, especially with view to racial and other conflicts in dying years of Apartheid regime. The research is based on social relevance of creative production. As a result I devleoped a 5-pomts-catalogue  to identify relevant, sincere or true Art, as oppsed ot fake, insincere and profiteering Art (produced by more than 80 % of artists in current social environment of capitalist dominance).
