Jane Prophet is a Professor in the School of Creative Media, CityU and a British artist. Her collaborative works with life scientists have been recognized with a UK National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts. Her site-specific light-based installations include Conductor, a flooded power station lit with luminescent cables and Counterbalance, installed in rural Australia addressing climate change. Prophet uses traditional and computational media to make contemporary landscapes, and 3D printing to create sculptures from mathematical data. She is currently working with neuroscientists as part of a one year Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship from the Hong Kong Research Council.
