"My methods explore the transcendental quality of stories and myths and how they affect the human element. A common dialogical  juxtaposition between the taboo and sexuality is a recurring theme in my  work . While attempting to bridge the rift between the narrative and the players, life etches itself in to every corner of our existence and lives on in this fleeting moment."

Rowynn Dumont is a scholar, artist, curator, and teacher. She currently attends The Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts, in pursuit of her PhD in Philosophy, Aesthetics and Art Theory.  She holds an MFA from the Academy of Art and a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.   Rowynn's work can be seen internationally, in Nimbus at Vespertine in Shanghai, China and The Fowler Museum, in Los Angeles, CA, amongst various other places.
