Psychoacoustic research on the relevancy of the auditory masking phenomena for the perception of musical sound signals. Design and implementation of a psychoacoustic model for the prediction of multi-tone masking effects in complex auditory stimuli. Evaluation of the model by means of a large-scale psychoacoustic listening experiment involving 40 subjects. Integration of the model into the sound analysis system of the Sound Department of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
