Dear Lucia,

It might be that we have met before  - perhaps on-line. I find your work inspiring. Perhaps you might find some sources in my doctoral thesis that can be related to you thoughts. I am very much interested in the aspect of baroque (over)ornamentation and Nothingness, both in Italian and French 17th century music. My thesis was dedicated to the art of performing Nothingness through operatic mad scenes and  lamentations. I am currently working on French Leçons de Tenebres by Michel Lambert. There are two musical ms - one more ornamented than the other. Really inspiring! I am also curious about how one moves from the art of vocal ornamentation to the act of performing trust. Moving from vocality to a  poetic/written languge. Can one explain without consiously explaining? What can be observed in a poetic explaination?

I will enjoy reading more on your project. You can find my thesis here:

I also have a profile in the RC.

Best wishes,

Eli Belgrano

I am also more and more interested in how we as artistic researcher can build and refer to one another through our artistic expositions as a strong complement to more 'scholarly' and 'scientific sources'.

Good luck in your research! how to have an exchange with you on the theme of emptiness / nothingness. You'll find some really great papers in my list of references on Nothingness during the Baroque era.
