About this exposition

This research explores "Chrono Surveillance," a unique temporal dimension born from the pervasive nature of surveillance, transcending traditional timekeeping by replacing it with continuous monitoring, recording, and data processing. This new concept of time is defined by its relentless constancy and its ability to disregard natural cycles, stretching and compressing based on the presence of activity. By capturing every moment indefinitely, Chrono Surveillance creates a digital afterlife where the past is continuously carried forward, challenging the omniscience of surveillance and altering our perception of temporality. Through the lens of expanded scenography, this research contributes to a broader understanding of how surveillance, as both a tool and a metaphor, impacts our daily lives and interactions, ultimately aiming to foster a critical reflection on the invisible forces that shape our environments and our perceptions.
