The growing practice of the artist in residence has been put into question with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing travel restrictions. The pandemic has also seen the development of the virtual visit as a new possibility for travelling, for viewing art, for visiting architecture for wandering unknown places. This project is an attempt at visiting an unknown city and producing artworks, in the form of animated films, based on that visit. The short films are based on images of modern architecture, images of buildings that are derivative of the International style, a style that is ostensibly recognized globally. Taken out of their local context, these animated structures hover in an indeterminate space.

Les possibilités pour les artistes en résidence ont été remises en question avec la propagation de la pandémie COVID-19 et les restrictions de voyage qui en découlent. La pandémie a également vu le développement de la visite virtuelle comme une nouvelle possibilité de voyager, de voir de l'art, de visiter de l'architecture et d’errer dans des lieux inconnus. Ce projet est une tentative de visiter une ville inconnue et de produire des travaux, sous forme de films d'animation, reliés à cette visite. Les courts métrages sont basés sur des images d'architecture moderne, des images de bâtiments dérivés du style International, un style qui est ostensiblement reconnu dans le monde entier. Sortis de leur contexte local, ces bâtiments animés planent dans un espace indéterminé.
