Visual artist and former lecturer in Photography at Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, University of Bergen.
I am interested in how visual representation shapes our personal and collective perception of history, as well as our position(s) in the world today. In my art projects I am not faithful to any specific mediums of expression, however, I often question photographic concerns, and explore the materials, the contexts, and the contents of, photography. A photograph is both a representation of something, and an object with materiality in itself; a duality I find intriguing to probe. I seldom take photographs myself, rather, archive and the reuse of material has been essential to several of my works.
