In 2010 he opened the first chair of sociology in one of the Italian Academies of Fine Arts. Since 2013 he has been co-manager of the Catanese Academy Contemporary Art Fund. In March 2014, he became reviser of the international review of the Poland Academy of Sciences, Hemispheres, studies on cultures and societies. Vincenzo studies the relationship among consumerism, customary ritualistic and cultural production. New Ritual Society, consumismo e cultura nella società contemporanea, was published in 2014 in the first series of manuals for academies, by Fausto Lupetti. Contemporary societies are considered fields for the diffusion of the new consumerism rituals. Art and culture are asked to face this new challenge.

    The modern "religion of consumption" seems to be much more effective and pervasive when he takes a ritualistic character. Sometimes replacing the traditional religions and the different forms of art and culture, sometimes giving rise to genuine syncretism, willingly adapts to different social contexts.
