turina sevillana
Here we can apreciate a very typical guitar atack in Turina´s pieze "Sevillana"
guitar atack inspiration (begining)
Here we can se the clear similarity with the second piano solo in "nights in the spanish gardens"
guitar attack score
In the score, the right hand chords are in the last part of every beat, however, as we can apreciate in Turinas piece and Rubinstein great interpretation it should be played with a broad atack that creates a natural accent
Debussy Homage
In his pieze "Debussy Homage" Falla uses a melody in the medium register of the guitar, played very clearly with the 3rd finger and an arpeggio using the six strings of the instrument
debussy homage inspiration
a very similar except can be found in the midle section of "en el generalife" from "nights in the spanish gardens"
debussy homage inspiration
We can see here the piano score
Albeniz Asturias
in this pieze from Albeniz it can be seen the way of playing a tremolando in the guitar. we can apreciate how the performer plays the melody with the thumb and the rest with very litle sound
tremolando
here we can see a very similar tremolando at the end of "en el generalife"
tremolando nights
Here we see the score of the tremolando part. the thumb atack inspiration is well mark and should be played with the left hand
guitar triplets
This is another passage with a clear inspiration of guitar tremolando. in this case in triplets
triplets nights
As in the previous example, the lower voize should be played again trying to imitate the guitar sound
la vida breve guitar
In this transcription of Falla´s "la vida breve" we can understand the diference with the mordent on triplets played with the guitar and the same efect when its done with the voice (we will study the voice inspiration in another post). In this case the triplets are played with one atack of the finger, that causes an accent in the first note and a very obvious diminuendo in the other ones
guitar mordent
As we can see now this is a very similar efect written in the second of the "nights in the spanish gardens" piece, "danza lejana"
guitar mordent
Here it is the mordent efect in the second piece of "nights in the spanish gardens", "danza lejana"About this publication
