  • la vida breve guitar In this transcription of Falla´s "la vida breve" we can understand the diference with the mordent on triplets played with the guitar and the same efect when its done with the voice (we will study the voice inspiration in another post). In this case the triplets are played with one atack of the finger, that causes an accent in the first note and a very obvious diminuendo in the other ones

About this publication

Guitar influence in Spanish piano music is well known, however, sometimes we dont really recognize what kind of writing has inspiration on that instrument and how to play it in a correct way. In my study of diferent influences in "nights in the spanish gardens" from Falla, I found many passages with a clear inspiration that could help the performer to imagine the sound that Falla wanted in each one.
