About this paper

A bit of juvenalia: a copy of my undergraduate thesis, focusing on the poetic work of Don Paterson and his relationship(s) to his readers. Reading it back now makes it seem childlike in execution, but bold enough in its ambition. I remember feeling extremely constricted by the limited word count allowed by the awarding institution, so topics arrive and disappear with alarming irregularity. Bar some minor formatting, I have left it unwashed and unedited, so forgive any glaring errors. Nonetheless, I loved writing it and getting my first taste of independent research!
