The context behind the work: A PaR portfolio on the negative space of creative processes that value co-performer connection (last edited: 2023)

About this exposition

This portfolio documents the practice and auto-ethnographic reflections of my practice-based research project at QUB, funded by Northern Bridge Consortium. The project centres around co-performer connection. It looks at how performers connect, how they can connect better and what kind of different creative output can be made from a radically changing methodology that puts interconnectedness to a co-performer at the heart of the creative process. I define co-performer connection as a flow-like feeling of intense interpersonal relations with co-performers onstage (Stanislavski, 2008, 193-222). My approach to this practice-as-research (PaR) project, positions experimental process before performance results. A full understanding of my project is shared through the cohesive presentation of the critical discussion in my thesis and the practical experiences documented in this portfolio.
