The DRESDEN-concept is a research alliance of the TUD together with the strong partnership of the research and culture areas resulting in the ideal way to communicate the excellence of research in Dresden. In particular, the co-operation of all DRESDEN-concept partners is aimed at the development and use of synergies in research, education, infrastructure, and administration. Partners co-ordinate strategies to support Dresden’s leading areas and identify new emerging scientific areas. The DRESDEN-concept alliance also works on a joint initiative to attract top talents and to convince the best to come to Dresden.

Culture and Monument Preservation

Dresden is not only rich in famous sights, there are also around 13,000 cultural monuments and 8 districts under general preservation orders to be found within its boundaries. The majority of these cultural monuments are looked after by the Office for Culture and Monument Preservation of the City of Dresden. The department responsible for monument preservation organises regular public meetings and lectures on various aspects of the topic, arranges tours of selected areas, subject to prior appointment, and presents its activities within the framework of various exhibitions.

Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA)

JVLMA brings together talented students, erudite teachers, scientists and supportive employees in a dynamic and highly innovative environment, where creative energy and the spirit of experiment abound. Today, more than 600 students are studying in the Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate programmes of the Music Academy. The main activities of JVLMA are the performing arts, pedagogy, sound engineering, musicology and research.
On the one hand, the values of the university are rooted in the established traditions of its predecessors, particularly its first rector, Jāzeps Vītols. On the other hand, the outlook is focused on future developments as the academy's main mission is to identify new and enthusiastic talents, helping them to grow and flourish.

(JKPeV) conceives and implements project which have a social impact, promote diversity and inclusion as well as foster active participation and civic engagement in dedication to education, culture and art. The Latvian Academy of Culture (LAC)

LAC is an interdisciplinary higher education institution of culture and arts and a centre for cultural research, artistic work and creative entrepreneurship. Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art (LCCA)

It is the largest institution of contemporary art in Latvia that curates and produces contemporary art events of national and international scale. As of 1993, it has researched and curated contemporary art processes both in Latvia and abroad to provoke critical reflection on issues topical for contemporary society.
