Another example of exploring the workshop format in my artistic research project is through Selvbyggeren; a temporary art in public space project initiated by kunstnerboligforeningen (the artist housing association) announced by Oslo municipality's art collection and KORO at Økern in Oslo. The Kunstnerboligforeningen has built a temporary module at Økern of a future artist's housing project in collaboration with Fragment architects, which in this project is filled with conversations, meetings and workshops on housing policy, urban development, artists housing and production space. I was invited as one of four artists to create something inside the structure. I chose to work with the brick, with clay from the area and based on local brick history, as well as using the brick as a pedagogical tool in grounding exersizes to the area of Økern in a very concrete sense through working with clay.

Under are a video and images from the clay-in-the-landscape-workshop at Økern, with artists, architects and curator.

Video and images under from brickmaking-workshop and stamp-workshop at Oslo National Academy of Art with artists from different fields and architects.

Under are images and videos from 2-day bricklaying workshop with Chris Millar at Økern, using traditional blueclay mortar.
