The narrator’s words, ‘Digest the missing link, create new links, sights, oversight, landscape of sense in nonsense | Sound of cartoons, sounds of fabulation – words bending shaping meanings, inside and outside the frame | breathing live into the unadorned chicken – leg left by the cannibalism of the present past | The interim space of Something and Nothing’, for example, evoke the epigraph; the rhizome, the generator of a po-ethics1 that conjures the audience into an ‘interbeing’ where ethics and aesthetics converge. This ethics in the Spinozist sense, charged with the poetics of sonic expression, opens an affirmative-productive space that seeks to ‘shake’ and ‘uproot’ listening habits and experiences. The voice, as heard in Audio track 2, meets a melodic line, the spoken words propelled by the tempo of the so-called ambiance track, together creating an esoteric, perhaps moody atmosphere, an ‘intermezzo’ between random poetics and jazzy sound (citing elements of John Coltrane’s ‘Giant Steps’). In contrast, the same narration, ‘Landscape of Sense in Nonsense’, accompanied by another sonic ambiance in Audio track 3, affects the listening experience, the reading of the sonic fiction as it evolves from one segment or episode to the next, differently, evoking associations that will inflect the emerging narrative in new ways.
