This section gives a written overview of the organization of the "Spherical Body" choreography. Some moments of insight and decision-making are placed in italics with side-right alignment.
The dancers run the whole dance part section, and once it is done, the audience is invited once more to "Cool Down" the visualization. They are also asked to close their eyes to reflect on what they just witnessed, as described in Stage 5. When the audience opens their eyes, the dancers return to performing "Score 1. Avatar" with their corresponding outfits. On the back screen is a projection with instructions to proceed to the installation area for a short Q&A.
The choreography "Spherical Body" is a contemporary dance piece based on the general score described in the "Choreographic Creation Process."
In this version, the dancers possess a highly trained knowledge of classical and contemporary ballet and modern and contemporary dance techniques. They are also familiar with the method of "The Spherical System"; therefore, it develops the body in a technical dance style.
The audience starts their journey in the installation area, where they can try the Software Application "Body Sphere" on a touch screen. Afterward, they are invited to enter the theater, where they can scan the QR Code projected on the back screen; if they did not try it on the installation's screen, they could still try it on their mobile phones.
The dancers stand on stage while the audience sits, doing "Score 1. Avatar".
The following section starts once the audience is sitting. The audience is invited through a voice-in-off to visualize the Spherical Body through a guided experience focusing on their "Head Sphere." During this visualization, they are asked to close their eyes while following instructions described in Stage 2. Once the audio is finished, the audience is asked to open their eyes. At this moment, the dancers are wearing the burgundy leotard costume with their faces fully covered.
The Choreography presented in this context is abstract, lacking any specific intention to convey a particular emotion or story. Instead, the focus is on observing the process and variations of the dancer's activities that develop intricacy by the performers over time. The App then becomes a tool to find an effortless interactivity approach that will target no particular dance-trained audience and find through digital technologies a way to direct them into understanding where the choreographic process begins that they will witness on stage.
My choice to work with this specific cast was intentional to be able to frame the advanced expertise of implementing their background on preexisting techniques into the approach of my method.
All in all, the elements I chose to frame the performance, software app, graphics, and instructions before witnessing the live choreography give more information to an audience that is not familiar with an abstract choreography, propitiating an environment of interactivity that does not require a physical effort, for that, the Audience can join a workshop to experience the method if it raises interest.
