CYCLE#8 PERSONAL NOTES & PRACTICE FOR INTEGRATING THE POLARITY POINT & EVOLUTIONARY DEVELOPMENT: CIRCULATION AS CONTEMPLATION
,;Reflective Journal, Emanuel Elischa;,
Something may have fulfilled its purpose and it may now be time for me to move on. One of the hardest wisdoms of the heart to acquire is knowing when to leave a situation & to let go. My natural tendency is to want to have, hold and keep - whether this relates to things, to people or to situations. Letting go, or moving on, can seem a rejection of the values I hold dear - of love, commitment and responsibility. But with experience, I discover & accept that there is a season and a CYCLE to everything, and that something which served me at one time may now no longer do so. Stepping away, then, is not a rejection of one thing but an embracing of another.
Because it’s a path of letting go
of what I am not
so that who I truly am
can be revealed
In moving on
I give birth to my purpose
& complete a cycle
A meditative counterpoint to a mutable research process
Within the established process of developing this research, the main focus point in the mode of operation described a quality of research that is mutable and dynamic, ever changing working methods and perspectives explored through the context of circulation. Of course that is the main point and strength of this research, documented within this reflective text and artistic outcome. It is exactly that curiosity, that leading edge of not staying at one place, what I tried to renegotiate. Yet we can notice the dilemma of the polarity in constantly needing to meet this insatiable drive for curiosity, - and a tendency of not being consistent with the object of study, thereby lacking a sense of depth.
As laid out within the paradox of duality and non duality, both parts of the polarity are valid and need to be integrated.
So, a part of this process in terms of it’s evolutionary development within the context of evolutionary astrology, - in other words, the part of me, that is maturing with this process of an awareness to a fast thinking mind, very much drawn to diverse information, stories, and various perspectives, lies within practicing the polarity point of mutability:
Revisit & examination through the lens of contemplation.
The English word ‘contemplation’ comes from combining the Latin root ‘templum’ meaning a temple, and the prefix ‘con’, meaning with. Richard Rudd writes: “One might therefore say that the inner meaning of the word is to go into one’s own temple, one’s own sacred inner space.” One’s own concentric center point. “The addition of the prefix ‘con’ however adds an intriguing dimension to our understanding. When we go into our inner being, there is the notion that we are with someone or something. This is the essence of contemplation – that when we look inwards we begin to discover connections.”
The art of contemplation as a practice of playful circulation in the context of this work, as well as the Gene Keys, further describes the evolutionary integration point of this research, transcending the linearity of time.
The evolutionary intention then is firstly to become very mindful.
Mindfulness is being aware of how my mind can attach to multiple things at once - and then if I’m not paying attention to that, giving my awareness to things that cultivate the focus to the moment.
Taking time and integrating practices for allowing the mind to slow down, like meditation & contemplation, as well as further deepening my connection to each individual circulation in the CYCLES#1-7.
So the intention for this CYCLE#8 emphasizes the revisiting & contemplation of each investigative CYCLE#1-7 , elaborating and practicing each developed artistic inspiration as an instrumental practice within the context of circular electronic music. This, in a nutshell is the power of circulation as contemplation: The playful and consistent orbiting around an object of study.
Through the contemplation being also especially mindful about that, which I’m exploring, being mindful of what I’m taking in & what I am leaving behind. Analog, with the documentation of all the CYCLES#1-8, I am also leaving behind my past self & my time at the Institute.
The method established here in this investigative CYCLE #8 is, in many ways, the approach I’ve been using during crafting this rapport.
It describes the revisit & contemplation of my journey throughout this research, my cycles and the different versions of me and my work. Observing and witnessing the evolution of myself as an artist - the gravitational center point of the concentric system in my research - and the emotional arc of my perception.
Analog, within the language of evolutionary astrology, the solar self - the gravitational center point of the individual psyche - is the expression of one’s identity, the part of me that I show the world. This is further artistically expressed with locating CYCLE#7 - the final public concert - within the graphical representation of the sun, as in the context of the CYCLES#1-8.
I am grateful for the cycles that have been, and I am looking forward to come back to these practices, my archive of inspiration, and to emerge into new cycles.
