This work begins with an overview of the topic of pornography in the context of the past century, drawing on feminist discourse and the sexual revolution. It primarily outlines the perspective of liberal feminism, particularly the sexually positive view of pornography. The subsequent section describes the image of pornography, its forms in various media, and its impact on the consumer. I aim to explain certain characteristics and content intentions closely associated with mainstream pornography. These primarily involve elements of stereotyping related to unrealistic portrayals, gender discrimination, and sexism. In the second half of this work, I focus on the specific topic of pornography for women, or ethical pornography, as an important genre of contemporary pornography. This refers to pornographic content designed to satisfy viewers not only through the ethical values upheld in each production but primarily through content that differs in its function, aesthetics, and the overall performance of the actors, which finally aligns with our reality.

In my work, I draw inspiration from approaches, themes, and practical depictions of ideas, particularly as seen from the perspectives of the participants involved.

This article primarily aims to introduce the phenomenon of new pornographic genres, which predominantly represent a female perspective and reinterpret conventional pornography through the lens of contemporary cinematic and artistic trends. To fully grasp the concept of ethical pornography and its unique qualities, one must first understand the mainstream pornography industry and its modes of expression, which often have a profound sensory impact. In other words, to appreciate lesser-known artistic works, it is essential to first understand their more familiar predecessors. For this reason, my work not only explores the ethical aspects of pornography but also examines traditional elements—the well-known characteristics of mainstream pornography that emerging creators might either draw inspiration from or deliberately reject. My aim is to highlight some of the most prominent and controversial aspects of classical pornography. These factors not only provide insight into the core of the industry but also serve to illustrate the qualities that ethical pornography seeks to oppose. At its core, new directions in pornography do not simply stand in opposition to traditional forms; they also strive to create more constructive compromises. This involves re-examining established conventions, identifying elements that may be problematic or detrimental to any stakeholder, and transforming them into more meaningful and appropriate forms.
